Social Media Manager (LATAM)

Location: Buenos Aires.

We are seeking a creative, culturally fluent, and crypto-savvy Social Media Manager to lead EMCDs content and community engagement efforts across Latin America.

In this role, you will be responsible for localizing and executing our global social media strategy across key channels such as Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, and YouTube, while crafting content that resonates deeply with Spanish-speaking (and potentially Portuguese-speaking) audiences. Your mission is to drive growth, engagement, and loyalty across our LATAM communities.

As the first hire fully dedicated to social media in the region, you will play a crucial role in establishing EMCDs voice and visibility across one of the most dynamic and fast-growing crypto markets in the world.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy & Execution

1. Develop original, engaging, and relevant content in Spanish (and optionally Portuguese) aligned with global goals and tailored to LATAM audiences.
2. Build and manage a localized content calendar to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
3. Launch regional campaigns, announcements, and community activations (AMAs, contests, etc.).

2. Community Engagement

1. Interact daily with users, reply to comments and DMs, and moderate discussions to build vibrant social communities.
2. Monitor trends, memes, and cultural signals to keep EMCDs content fresh and regionally relevant.

3. Analytics & Optimization

1. Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, audience growth) and refine strategy based on data.
2. Prepare reports and insights to inform broader content decisions.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

1. Align closely with EMCDs global SMM team, designers, and video production teams.
2. Support marketing efforts around LATAM events, partnerships, and local community campaigns.

Requirements:

Experience and Skills

1. 3+ years in social media management or digital content creation, ideally in crypto, Web3, or fintech.
2. Proven success growing social channels, launching campaigns, and building community engagement.
3. Native or fluent Spanish (required); advanced English (C1+); Portuguese is a plus.
4. Excellent copywriting and communication skills.
5. Familiarity with memes, crypto culture, and regional online behaviors.
6. Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Sprout Social, and platforms like Canva or Figma.
