Solidity Engineer

Fluence is the first decentralized “Cloudless” computing platform, providing an open alternative to the giant internet cloud monopolies. Fluence assembles excess compute capacity from top tier data centers around the world into a global, always-on DePIN network that is suitable for running a wide range of applications. What You'll Be Doing:

• Redesign and implement the new generation of our on-chain marketplace with a more advanced model for rentable resources.

• Take ownership of smart contract architecture, gas optimization, and upgradability patterns.

• Actively contribute to evolving tokenomics, from economic modeling to implementation of incentive-aligned mechanisms.

• Lead regular audits and security reviews of the protocol.

• Be the internal driver of secure development practices, guiding other engineers and reviewing critical code paths.

• Work closely with teams building off-chain components to align smart contract interfaces with traditional services.

• Understand and improve the interface between the blockchain logic and surrounding infrastructure.

• Refactor and maintain legacy contracts where necessary.

• Advocate for high standards in test coverage, documentation, and code clarity.

What You Bring:

• Deep experience designing, testing, and deploying EVM smart contracts (Solidity, Foundry, Hardhat).

• Strong background in gas usage optimization and economic efficiency of contracts.

• Solid experience integrating web3 protocols into traditional backend environments (TypeScript/microservices).

• Exposure to tokenomics and on-chain incentive mechanisms.

• Mastery of Solidity, EVM, and related tooling (Foundry, Hardhat).

• Comfort reading and modifying existing complex codebases.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Rust and blockchain systems beyond Ethereum.
